A visual chronicle of the life of the Kurdish people in Russia
THE DIALOGUE OF CULTURES BEGINS WITH A PERSON
People. Stories. Traditions.
This is a story about people who carefully preserve and pass on their cultural heritage.
Russia is a space where, for centuries, representatives of different peoples, faiths, and cultural traditions have lived side by side.
The heroes of this project are the Kurdish people.
These are people born in the USSR and Russia; some came from different countries. They study at Russian universities, build families and careers, start their own businesses, and work in culture, science, education, medicine, and many other fields.
Everyone has their own path.
But they are all united by the desire to preserve the connection with their roots and pass it on to the next generations.
For many project participants, Russia has become not just a place to live, but also a part of their personal and family history. And for some, it is a second homeland.
