He was born in the village of Zangir, Masis District, Armenian SSR.
In 1988, due to the events in Nagorno‑Karabakh, he moved with his family to Krasnodar Krai.
He was the head of a peasant (farm) household that grew annual crops.
He worked as an individual entrepreneur for 20 years. In the past, he served as a deputy on a non‑permanent basis.
He is a former deputy from the stanitsa of Platnirovskaya, Korenovsky District, Krasnodar Krai.
Now he lives with his family in Platnirovskaya. He has five children and eleven grandchildren.
